Today in situations of serious threats to peace or public order, the unarmed UN Police is ineffective while the heavily armed military units are not appropriately trained or equipped. • Задачи проекта:
1 To carefully and comparatively analyze the characteristics of modern peacekeeping operations.
2 To delineate the nature of change in modern peacekeeping operations, identify the current trends and look at future issues and challenges, including some inferences and implications.
3 To analyze changes in the nature, form and variety of peace operations. In fact, the very coining of a new term, ‘Peace Operations’ (PO), as distinct from the earlier ‘Peacekeeping Operations’ (PKOs), illustrates a new degree of diversity and complexity in these operations.

Most international operations are established and implemented by the United Nations itself, with troops serving under UN operational control. In cases where direct UN involvement is not considered appropriate or feasible, the Council may consider authorizing regional organizations such as the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the Economic Community of West African States, or other coalitions of willing countries to undertake peacekeeping or peace-enforcement tasks.

“China's leadership change begins”
• Проблема: Ten years ago, China's economy was not so big. However, an economic miracle in the past decade means the country is now the second biggest economy in the world. Its leaders are a little worried though, because the economy is slowing down. But it is still growing 6 times faster than the rest of the world.
• Идея проекта: The president and his team will choose the new leaders that will rule China for the next ten years. China selects its leaders, unlike many other countries, which elect them.

1. To find and research the relevant materials about the new strategy of China;
2. To analyze the aims of the new strategy;
3. To analyze if the new strategy aims suit to the requirements and indicators of China;

Проблема: Israel-Gaza conflict intensifies. Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said his country is prepared to send troops into Gaza if Hamas does not stop firing rockets into Israel.

“The importance of relations of Kazakhstan with China and Russia”
• Проблема: Defining the relations of Kazakhstan with China and Russia for cooperation as a whole, including the spheres of human rights, supremacy of law and democracy, education, economic development, trade and investments, energetics and transport, environmental policy, common threads and intercultural dialogue within taking into consideration the specific requirements and indicators.
• Идея проекта: Over the last few years Kazakhstan has implemented foreign policies aimed to improve relations with other countries, also with common partners such as Russia. Using its huge potential in the hydrocarbon industry, Kazakhstan has managed to rise above all other Central Asian states in terms of political and economic importance and has turned its eyes to China as an important and powerful partner for cooperation in the economic, political, and security spheres.
