BLACK. Black color absorbs all other colures and, it is considered adverse in an interior of inhabited rooms. However it does not mean, that it cannot be used as an element of a decor or external furnish in a combination to blue or silver-steel color, especially for toilets and subsidiary premises. Black is a color of secret. Use black color for creation of an atmosphere of secret and an intrigue; impressions of warmth; expressions of force and solidarity. Avoid pure black color in children's rooms; in situations where sincere dialogue is necessary; in places for reading.
The reddish-brown colour of TERRACOTTA is charmingly pretty. Being so sunny-warm and full of life, it arouses happiness and catches on quickly. Remember, only the most fabulous girls get rare terracotta Michaelmas daisies.
RED. It is definitely a marvelous colour. Its light hues inspire passion and look determined, its dark variants are more respectable and serious. Red is a symbol of a holiday, life, love, passion, freedom, revolution... Be careful with the colour, it can take you too far... Being the color of blood, red color symbolizes a stream of vital force. Use red color for a designation of borders and limits; derivations of attention from undesirable places; preventions; ritual activity; emotional stimulation and sexual excitation; warming; designations of the important sites. Avoid pure red color in the places intended for contemplation and meditation; places for rest; the limited spaces.
The phrase "life in the pink" is sure to have an equivalent in any language, PINK in its full variety shades is extremely popular in oriental countries. Maybe that is why exceptional oriental plants look so fine in pink.
ORANGE. Orange color represents a combination of red color of human blood and yellow color of a sun. It is appreciated especially by optimists and fans of adventures. Use orange color for disposal of feeling of loneliness. Avoid pure orange color when full calm is necessary; when concentration on something is required.
YELLOW is the color of the sun which is the major source of a life on the Earth. Use yellow color for feeling of fun and vivacity; strengthenings of hope; revival of a workplace; attachments of the person to a place of dwelling; feeling of warmth and a cosiness (goldish and honey shades) Avoid pure yellow color inside buffets or sliding boxes; in bathrooms. Yellow is dangerous. The sign "radioactive" is accompanied by a picture with a yellow skull in the black background; a referee shows a yellow card to a player; A yellow line prevents you from parking; the yellow press with its qossip; icterus... Be attentive when choosing the yellow colour: only its tight pastel variants can it create the joyful atmosphere.
GREEN. The color of vegetation brought in space of an interior, connects us with the nature. We feel active and updated as green color associates with growth and development.
Peaceful and formal, the DARK-GREEN colour can turn into a blissfully cheerful thing if it's of a lighter tinge. Never give anything green to the French. They believe it brings misfortune; for them only in few cases can it stand for youth and amicability. More than that, do not forget about the Italian and English "green monster" and about the green face of somebody who doesn't feet well. All the same, the colour is very popular since all the beliefs and associations connected with it are nothing but exceptions, in the whole world it is normally considered to be a symbol of spring and a good start.
You miss your dearest friend? Give her a posy of sky-blue forget-me-nots. Their colour is so far away from the formality of dark-blue. In European cultures BLUE can have different connotations: Italians see the appealing to Russian people image of a 'prince on a white horse' being blue, and they see it in a positive way as we do. But on the other hand, the same Italian nation can be frightened or can miss somebody to such an extern that- they say everything turns blue inside them.
DARK BLUE. It is color of independence and bent for to adventures. Use dark blue color, for a designation of secret; meditations. Or for expressions of the individuality of feeling of a cool. Avoid pure dark blue color: when the room is intended for productive leisure; in cold places; in the places intended for reception of food; in the places of common use.
The royal VIOLET doesn't always look down on everyone. It can as well turn into a gentle iris or a sweet-scented lilac. It's a very controversial colour. Violet is not a simple combination of dark blue and red color. It can be received only by careful overlapping of dark blue with the certain shades of crimson color. Partly therefore it symbolizes regal greatness, this color specifies spirituality and steadiness. Use purple color for a designation of authority; strengthenings of a self-estimation.
White color is combination of all other colors. For Europeans it means innocence as it appears to our look pure and spotless. As white color reflects all other colors and remains pure, virtue and divinity frequently are associated with this color. Use white color for definition of innocence and virtue; creations of feeling of freshness and cleanliness; expressions of sincerity. The best way to express your admiration and respect towards a lady with the help of colours is to use WHITE. It is so light and untouched, and so eloquent that it can indicate friendship, trust or even something you do not know how to call at the same time, a rose, a lily, a chrysanthemum, -any flower can show it. By the way, be aware of the chrysanthemum. In France the only place you can find them is cemetery.
