Passing exams

Education is a process of formation of the mind, character, or physical abilities of the individual and the result of this process. In order to gain further education after school, you need to enter some university.

It is not easy to become a student. High demand for higher education led to high entrance competition regardless of the form of study or specialty. The rules of enrollment to the institutions of higher education provide for unified conditions for admission. Therefore only the very best can study at the budget cost. In order to obtain free education an applicant has to pass the compulsory centralized testing in two or three admission disciplines successfully. The entrants who passed the entrance exam successfully but did not win the competition (did not get the necessary entrance score) have the opportunity to study on their own account. The paying students can make use of lax credit system.

In our country, if you want to go to Higher educational establishment, you first have to pass exams after the 11th grade at the school on the following subjects: Mathematics, Russian and Belarusian. And then you hand over centralized testing in three areas: mathematics, foreign language, Russian or Belarusian to choose from. Then you add your score that you have a centralized test and your score certificate. If you get necessary entrance score, you can choose the major you are interested in and get full-time education or part-time education. Full-time education is divided into paid and free of charge education. To get a free of charge education means the opportunity to receive not only a high-quality education, but also get a monthly allowance.

In your last year at school you must start getting ready for your entrance examinations to the Higher educational establishment.

Unfortunately, the school gives us a general, superficial knowledge and knowledge acquired in school is often not enough for a good examination. You need to work hard, but most important is your desire. Because if you do not want to gain knowledge, no teacher can give it to you by force.

You should start preparing for the exams for the year or two before. You can prepare yourself, and you can hire a tutor who will help you.

Preparing for exams is at times tedious and boring, but the main thing is to choose the right place for preparations. There are a number of places where you can study - college library, public library, lodgings, home, vacant classrooms, on bus or train - and each has several obvious advantages and disadvantages. The College library is least busy in the evenings, on Wednesday afternoons, and all day Friday and Saturday.

When you are deciding where to study keep the following suggestions in mind:

1. Try to study always in the same place. After a while the familiar surroundings will help you to switch into the right frame of mind as soon as you sit down;

2.Find some place with as few distractions as possible;

3.Make sure that your study place has a good light and is warm (but not too warm) and well-ventilated.

Passing exams is period when you get nervous, and for some students it’s really difficult to live through this stressful period. But when you go through it and successfully pass the exam, you've got the summer holidays ahead of you, which is a great bonus really. So it's almost a compensation for the suffering.

But everyone has to do exams. There's no way of avoiding them. They seem to be the things that are used in the modern world as a means of sorting our society into groups. Just everybody is finding their kind of level. So whether you like them or not, you can't avoid them.
