Diet No. 4b

Indications. Acute and chronic intestinal diseases in aggravation period, and also in combination with affection of stomach, liver and bile ducts, pancreas.

Prescription aim. To provide full value nutrition of the patient in condition of moderate pronounced inflammatory process in gastro-intestinal tract and therefore affected digestion. To promote reducing of inflammatory process and normalization of the functional intestinal condition, and also of that organs which are more frequently involve in pathological process in intestinal diseases (stomach, liver and bile ducts, pancreas).

General characteristic. Diet in accordance with physiological requirements, with normal contents of protein, fats, carbohydrates, and restriction of salt to lower range of physiological norm (to 8-10 g), with moderate restriction of mechanical and chemical irritators of mucous membrane and receptors apparatus of gastro-intestinal tract, with exclusion of products and dishes that increase fermentation and putrefaction processes in intestines, and also strong stimulators of bile secretion, stomach and pancreas secretion, substances that irritate liver.

Calorie level and content. Proteins - 100-120 g, fats - 100-120 g, carbohydrates - 400-450 g, calorie level - 3000-3500 kcal, free fluid - 1.5 L, salt to 8-10 g per 24 hours, mass of 24 hours ration - 3 kg.

Nutrition regimen. Preferable fractional (5-6 times per 24 hours).

Diet No. 4c

Indications. Acute intestinal diseases in recovery period as transition to general diet, chronic intestinal diseases in remission period, and also in combination of these diseases with affection of stomach, liver and bile ducts, pancreas.

Prescription aim. To provide full value nutrition of the patient and compensation preserving in chronic intestinal diseases in remission stage, and also in involving of stomach, liver and bile ducts, pancreas in pathological process. To provide restoring process of affected function of digestive organs in recovery period of acute intestinal diseases.

General characteristic. Diet in accordance with physiological requirements, with normal contents of protein, fats, carbohydrates, and restriction of salt to lower range of physiological norm (to 8-10 g), with somewhat restriction of mechanical and moderate restriction of chemical irritators of mucous membrane and receptors apparatus of gastro-intestinal tract, with exclusion of products and dishes that increase fermentation and putrefaction processes in intestines, and also strong stimulators of bile secretion, stomach and pancreas secretion, substances that irritate liver.

Calorie level and content. Proteins - 100-120 g, fats - 100-120 g, carbohydrates - 400-450 g, calorie level - 3000-3500 kcal, free fluid -1.5 L, salt to 8-10 g per 24 hours, mass of 24 hours ration - 3 kg.

Nutrition regimen. Preferable fractional (5-6 times per day, but not less than 4 times).

Diet No. 5

Indications. Chronic hepatitis with benign and progressive course, insignificantly pronounced signs of functional liver failure and in compensation stage. Chronic cholecystitis, acute hepatitis and cholecystitis in recovery period (as transition to general nutrition). Various others diseases accordingly to diet prescription aim.

Prescription aim. To provide full value nutrition, conditions for maximum liver defense. To promote activation of compensatory and reparative mechanisms as a result of stimulation of fermentative, protein synthesis and bile excretory processes in the liver. To normalized functional condition of organs that are frequently involved in pathological process in liver and bile excretion organs diseases (pancreas, stomach, duodenum, intestine). To promote normalization of cholesterol metabolism.

General characteristic. Diet is in accordance to physiological requirements. Amount of proteins, carbohydrates and fats is determined according to physiological requirements of organism. Strong stimulator of gastric and duodenal secretion (extractive substances, enriched with essential oils), roast dishes, contained products of incomplete fats decomposition (acroleins and aldegides), refractory fats, cholesterol and purine riched products are excluded. Diet is enriched with vegetables and fruits, cellular cover of which increases bile excretion action of another food products, accelerates motor intestinal function, provides maximum cholesterol excretion with stool.


Calorie level and content. Proteins - 100-120 g, fats - 80-120 g, carbohydrates - 400-450 g, calorie level - 2800-3200 kcal, free fluid -1.5-2 L, salt to 8-10 g per 24 hours, mass of 24 hours ration - 3.3-3.5 kg. Nutrition regimen. Fractional (5-6 times per day).
