Professional Experience
2007-present Assistant Professor, Department of Geosciences, Murray State University, Murray, Kentucky. Served as principal investigator and co-principal investigator on numerous archaeological excavations and geophysical surveys in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Kentucky.
1997-2007 Graduate student, Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana. Directed or co-directed archaeological excavations and mapping at several sites in Louisiana and Mississippi.
2004-2005 Archaeology student trainee. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District. Student Career Experience Program, Environmental Planning and Compliance Branch, Natural and Cultural Resources Analysis Section. Evaluated potential impacts of Corps projects on cultural resources in the Lower Mississippi River Valley and adjacent Gulf Coast. Also ensured compliance with NAGPRA and Section 106 regulations.
2002-2003 Assistant director of the Center for Archaeology, Tulane University.
& 2000-2001 Operated, maintained, and trained faculty and students in the use of computer and laboratory equipment.
1991-2000 Cultural Resource Management field and laboratory assistant and consultant for numerous prehistoric and historic archaeological survey, testing, and mitigation projects in Louisiana, Mississippi, Illinois, Indiana, and Missouri.
