During the past several years has been intensively conducted the development of processes for alternative fuels instead of oil. First of all, it is connected with the oil reserves are exhausted every year. Moreover, the oil is an important raw material for the petrochemical industry, and therefore it is necessary to reduce the amount of oil used as motor fuel.

Another important reason is the environmental situation in many countries today - the major oil exporters of the world. A significant part of the associated gas is flared that leads to irreversible loss of valuable raw materials and generates complex environmental problems in mining regions. Such a wasteful attitude to fossil sources of raw materials is unacceptable and requires immediate creation of new technologies for processing light hydrocarbons.

In this regard, we propose the processing of the cheapest kind of hydrocarbons. The processing methane and saturated hydrocarbons C1–C4, which are contained in oil production gases, into dimethyl ether(DME) and / or hydrocarbon mixture C9 – C15, which in composition and properties will be appropriate to the structure high-octane gasoline.

Thus, processing of hydrocarbons into DME or petrol is expedient and actual: it is offered to use cheap raw materials for the production of valuable products, to reduce air pollution by hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide (environmental impact and solution of the Kyoto Protocol question), to reduce impact of oil production process on a condition of the atmosphere.
