INVESTMENT PROJECT

PROCESSING THE BYPRODUCTS GAS OIL INTO DIESEL FUEL AND HIGH-OCTANE GASOLINE

The purpose of the project – is to develop highly efficient and low-cost industrial technology processing the byproducts gas oil into diesel fuel and high-octane gasoline.

Problem State. There exist a number of industrial technologies for processing natural gas, and also gases obtaining by gasification of the different fuel types, waste products into a liquid fuel for internal combustion engines. The first stage involves the conversion of natural gas under a pressure of 3 MPa at the temperature 800-900 °C on the nickel catalyst. The second stage involves the processing of syngas under pressure of 5.0 - 8.0 MPa at the temperature 350 – 380 оС into dimethyl ether and ethanol on the zeolite catalysts. The synthesis of motor fuels is made from these products.

Essence of development. The technology of processing the gases of petroleum development into the syngas, methanol and dimethyl ether, and also gasoline is offered:

- using the method of carbon dioxide conversion with minimization of the content of nitrogen in synthesis gas on the stages;

- using the new plasma electro-gas dynamic method under atmospheric pressure and reduced temperature at the first stage.

Expected Results.

1. Processings of by-product gases oil into diesel fuel and high-octane gasoline on carbon dioxide technology with minimization of the size and complexity of devices. 2. The plasma electro-gas dynamic method based on the formation of hydrocarbon radical. It reduces energy costs of production of dimethyl ether and gasoline by 30 - 40%. So, it will lead to a reduction of the cost of petrol (25 - 30% per liter).

Development Status. There were made the laboratory and bench testings on technology of receiving syngas from natural gas, and also model gases of oil production.

 

Financing is necessary for creation of the semi-industrial scheme and installation, as well as the design of industrial technology.
