Exercise 4. Work in pairs as if you were John and Mary (You may add some details). Compare your holidays according to the following items:

For example: S1: I was on holiday a month ago.

Exercise 5. A journalist has to interview Mary about her holiday, but he isn’t good at English. Help him to make questions. Use the prompts below.

5. The on –board service/ polite?

6. What/ the weather?

Exercise 6. Now, work in pairs. S1 works as a journalist and asks Donald about John’s holidays. S2 answers the questions as if he / she were Donald. You may use the prompts from Exercises 5 and 6 to ask about.

Example: When was John on holiday?- He was on holiday a month ago.
