MY FAMILY

Let me introduce myself. My name is Orlova Sveta. I am nineteen. At the moment I am a third year student of the institute where I study Law. I study by correspondence. I live with my parents but besides me they have one more daughter.

First I would like to tell some words about my parents. My mother is about forty-six but she looks young for her age. My mother works as a chief accountant at the large factory. Her work keeps her busy all day long. I am the image of my mother. I have the same dark hair and brown eyes. My mother is very attractive to my mind. She is tall and slim. She is very kind, tolerant and cheerful. My mother and I have much in common. We have the same taste in books and music and we both are fond of cooking.

My father is forty- nine. He is a lawyer. My father is an experienced specialist, he is very clever, business-like and earnest. He is busy during the week, so he tries to relax at the weekends. When he is free he likes to go to the country, where we have a nice little house, and to work there in the garden. He is also fond of fishing and repairing his car.

My sister is four years elder than me. She graduated from the Institute last year. She is a children’s doctor by profession. She is married and has her own family. Her husband, my brother-in-law, is a militiaman. He studies to get higher education at the Moscow Law Institute. They have a little son, he is the pet of our family. He is a lovely kid, always full of joy.

We all get on well, love and respect each other. As for me, I do my best to study well. I am fond of reading detective stories and love novels. I like to watch thrillers and to listen to instrumental music. Most of all I like meeting with my friends, we usually have a great time together. I can only add that we are a friendly and happy family.
