We all know that eating right can help you keep a healthy weight and avoid certain health problems, but your diet can also affect your mood. Some researches show that a typical Western diet— takeout food and sugary snacks— leads to higher rates of depression, stress and anxiety. Unhealthy diet may even play an important role in the development of mental health disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, and schizophrenia, and suicide in young people.

So, what eating habits should you develop to keep fit and be in good mood?

· Don’t skip breakfast. Without a healthy breakfast in your stomach, you choose unhealthy foods such as sweets and salty snacks when you finally eat. A healthy breakfast can jumpstart your metabolism, and small, healthy meals (rather than the standard three large meals) keep your energy up.
