Final scores calculation

Final evaluation of the knowledge of academic discipline should include the following types of control:

	Work in the classroom and contribution to seminars including the following types of work: - a brief essay; - writing Glossary (in Russian or Kazakh language with translation into English); - presentation of any theme; - participation in business games (business game); - solution of specific cases (case-study); - defense of individual project and etc.	Up to 30
	SIW: - homework - essay - tests - assignments	Up to 25 Late submission entails one point reduction for each assignment
	Midterm examination	Up to 30
	The teacher has the right to withdraw a maximum of 10 points during the term for violation of discipline, i.e.: - profanity; - insulting teacher and/or other students; - disregarding requirements regarding educational process; - using cell phone during classes

Note: evaluation criterion attendance is equal to 15%, then your score to attend classes for the week of 1%.
Final assessment
When putting a final assessment of the scores on the results of the 2 landmark control and examination.
Mean score two landmark control is multiplied by a weighting factor of 0.6, and the score obtained on the exam - 0.4.
The final score is calculated by the formula
U = 0.6*[(R1 + R2)/2] + 0.4*E,
where
R1 - assessment for the first midterm control;
R2 - assessment for the second boundary control;
E - score achieved on the exam (0£ E £ 100).

A letter grade and its digital equivalent in points are determined by the percentage of correct answers according to the following table:

REQUIREMENTS OF THE TEACHER
Individual work should take place at specified time according to schedule.
Final score will be based on assessment of all assignments and contribution of students to seminars and other forms of work.
Knowledge of students should be assessed by various methods, including quizzes, multiple choice tests, essays etc.

Students are required not to be late for classes.
Students’ attendance of classes is obligatory. In the case of sickness or other serious problems not allowing students to attend classes, they have to provide a confirmation of their absence.
Rules of conduct in the class:
During classes students are not allowed to:
- use a mobile phone;
- chat with each other;
- listen to music;
- chew gum and/or eat and drink;
- read extraneous literature;
- use any devices;.
