You'll be pleased you decided not to come on holiday with us when you hear what happened!

Last week me and my friends decided to go to Vienna for weekends. We rented a car and started our trip. The weather was wonderful and we opened the windows of car. Nothing foreboded a trouble, but in 30 miles from the nearest city our car stopped working! It was like like the bolt from the blue. Unfortunately, car accumulator broke down.

We went out of the car and tried to call to evacuator, but there was no mobile connection. The only way out was to go to the nearest village and ask for help. As you can understand we had no chance to solve this problem. In 5 hours we got to village. Each of us was thirsty, hungry and exhausted. We asked locals for accommodation and they agreed to put us up for night.Ho st also told that she would call to repair service. We were happy.

The next day repairmen came and they went with us to our car. They looked over our car. Can you imagine what they said? They said that it is impossible to repair it. So we took the bus to our city and called the manager of car renting. Finally, rent car assistants took this car back and we went home by bus.

So, you see that you didn’t lose a lot, but I hope that this will never happen again. I hope you will come to me next holidays!

I’m so pleased you are coming to see me. I think we should meet at Donetsk city at 5 p.m. This entertainment centre is very comfortable place to meet in.

As I know you’ve never been to my city before. So let me explain you how to get to the place of meeting. I think you should left your car at your hotel, because there is no need in it as we are going to go for a walk. From your hotel you can take a bus number 17 and you to ask the stop Donetsk city.

Unfortunately, I have some things to do at the city. That is why I may be won’t be at time. So for you not to get bored you may try our national Ukrainian dishes in restaurant,Bucharest’.

As for evenin g I have some ideas how to spend the time. /do you fancy going/We can go to the cinema or central park, but I ‘d rather offer you to goi/I’ to a concert that dedicated to the 75 anniversary of football club,Shaktar Donetsk. Dear Alex,

I have just got back from a holiday at Hungary. I really enjoyed it, but let me go step by step./but first things first

Two weeks/a fortnight/ ago I went with my parents to Hungary. We landed at Budapest airport, checked in, found our luggage and went to Heviz by transfer. Heviz is the small village at the west of Hungary. There is a termal lake where with the help of radon people cure from bones diseases.

During our holiday we went to the lake every day for 20 minutes. After this we usually had a cup of coffee or tea. Some days we went on exursions to Budapest, Kesthely, Balatonfured and Vienna. In Kesthely and Balatonfured we had an opportunity to see the biggest lake of Hungary. Sometimes people call it the Hungarian sea, because it is 70 miles long and 50 miles wide. One day we went to Vienna and I was very happy about it, because I have never seen the city more beautiful than this one. An architecture is i mpregnated the atmosphere of the times when kings and queens lived there.

In general, I can say that I excited this journey very much. I hope that one day I will go back there again.

Dear Alex,

I am sorry to tell you I am ill and have to stay in bed for a few days.

I got ill 2 days ago and I had high temperature, extremely headache and sore throat. But now I am feeling better, but I still don’t go to school because I have a splitting headache.

To be ill is very boring thing, but I found the way out how to entertain myself. Every day I learn English, History and Ukrainian, because this year I will go to university. I am going to pass Independent testing that is why I have to prepare for it very heartily. Now I am also reading book of Gonsalez that is called,White on black’. This bookabout children who ill on/contracted ICP and how they live in an orphan homes.

Honestly speaking I am really looking forward to recover. I have so many things to do. Firstly, I have to buy dressto the school ball. After this I have to buy everything I need for finishing school. And I hope that I will manage to do it all before the ball.

1. Your teenage years are the best years of your life.

When we speak about teenagers we usually imagine young people full of energy and vitality. Their age seems to us as the happiest time of life, but usually we don’t value this perfect time full of discoveries and making new friends.

As for me, I must confess that it was the best time I ever had. Every day differed from the previous one. It was just like a dream. The things that I liked the most were that I had lots of hobbies and managed to do them every day. Now I can’t allow myself such a luxury. I was taking up such different hobbies as yoga, learning English and had quality time with my family every single day.

Besides these activities, twice a year I was going/used to go/ with my family to different foreign countries of Europe and Asia. People say that in travel and sport men are known, so while being a teenager I tried to use any /every/opportunity to go abroad in order to pick up English from native speakers. I am a keen traveler, so going abroad and doing the sights is also my kind of hobby. It was amazing to travel around the globe more the one time per year.

I have to be grateful to my parents for such a perfect teenage years. Unfortunately, I didn’t appreciate what a beautiful time it was. But I must admit that it was the best time of my life. I wish everyone could have it.

2. There is now future for public transport because travelling by car is so much more convenient.

Topics about public transport are said to be the most urgent ones. Environmental issues are covered more and more in mass media. Travelling by car can result in natural disasters, such us air pollution, holes in THE ozone layer and can lead to greenhouse effect. My point is that travelling by public transport is much more eco-friendly than travelling by car.

I completely disagree with the statement that there is now /NO/ future for public transport. In my opinion, it must be vice versa, people have to think more seriously about the environment. Cars cause air pollution with fumes and gases that is why I think that people have to reduce using their personal cars and use public transport instead. There are also such alternatives as using environmentally friendly types of transport such as bicycles, electrical cars, roller skates etc.

Unfortunately, we don’t fully understand how much harm we do to the environment by using cars. In my opinion, a good way of reducing the amount of pollution, which is produced by car fumes is to pass stricter law and fines. I think every little counts when we speak about environment. We have to do our best to save our planet from its death.

4. Article. Could you live without television for a week?

TV became an essential part of people life, it changed our life significantly. What if we try to live without television at least for a week? Can you imagine how much time you could save by not watching it? Instead of watching TV on hours on end you can do other useful things, such as having quality time with your family or doing necessary housework.

Nowadays people became TV addicted; the explanation might lie in the fact that you don’t have to bend/RACK/ your brains. The average person wastes four hours sitting in front of TV for four hours. Not many people know how negatively it can affect your health. Not only do you watch TV, but it can also lead to pour eye sight, nervousness and ear diseases.

As for me, I also was TV addicted/USED TO BE/. Being a child I used to WOULD watch TV for 6 hours per day. But I finally understood that it is worth doing more necessary things such as having quality time with your family or taking up new hobbies. Try to do some sport in order not to become /A/ couch potato.

It seems to me it is very important to cut down the time of watching TV. Television is a chewing gum for brain. Try to do more useful things instead of wasting your time and you will that this is the best way of leaving without TV.

Thank you for your letter. I hope my helping-hand will be rather usefull in terms of organization for a group of students.

Nowadays English became an international language, that is why people of any ages and any walks of life all over the world learn English. It seems to me this is extremely important for students to pick up languages from native speakers which can help them to develop their speaking skills. For some of students English is a real must for their career. That is why it’s of great importance for a group to learn English in mother country of Shakespeare.

Speaking about accommodation, from my point of view, it would be better if students lived in families. If it is possible to be put up with a family, it will be the best way of gaining skills in terms of comunicating with native speakers.

Of course, our group would like to make the most of our time during this trip and we will need to have special facilities. All of us are keen on doing sports, such as badminton, volleyball and tennis, so we would like to have tennis and badminton courts and a pitch for volleyball. People say that the house of English man is his castle, so it is very important when you choose the place where to live. Let me tell you about pluses and minuses of leaving in a flat. Positive things about this type of dwelling is that it is cheap to heat, economical, easy to clean and it is…conveniently located for public transport. It is the best place for business people or students, who always have to be in the center of the universe. But it also has such minuses as lack of private space, thin walls and no individuality. Speaking about houses, we can divide them into to modern and old ones. As a rule, leaving in a house has always had more pluses than minuses. My day started really badly, but it the long run it got better and better. Everybody knows that there are days when everything goes wrong. Fortunately or unfortunately, i am not an exception.
