From 9th grade I am doing researches in the field of organic (green), pharmaceutical chemistry. At the moment I am continuing my work at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty. Participant and winner of various Olympiads, unfortunately, did not achieve significant results. But by that time, when I was in 11th grade, I had published in the leading scientific journals of Kazakhstan and my future university. And at the same time I started volunteering, teaching chemistry junior classes. |
Please explain any of your extracurricular activities or work experience.
I have always led an active life both physically and socially, intellectually. Interested and actively engaged in sports like judo and swimming (fan), to maintain and improve the health and spirit. Also I play the guitar, and I believe that music gives harmony and tranquility. I devote a lot of time for self-education, reading fiction and classic literature. I want to emphasize myself as a volunteer who helps people and society for free. My last experience of volunteering has been related to a worldwide youth organization AIESEC, and I had a AIESEC internship in your country, in Kyungpook Natioanal University, Daegu. The main purpose of the internship was cultural diversity in Korea, where I worked with interns from all over the world. I have been interested in culture and education in Korea, but after this internship, I fell in love with this country, and finally decided to try my hand and send my documents to the Korean university. |
Please explain your purpose in studying at UNIST and your plans for study. Be as specific as you can regarding your academic interests and the curriculum you expect to follow in achieving your goals.
When I was living in Korea, I felt the difference between the Korean education system and Kazakhstani education systems. Many of my comrades are studying in Korea now, and none of them were dissatisfied with the quality of education and the conditions that their universities give. Even my Korean friends gave good reviews about UNIST. Prospects and possibilities corresponding atmosphere and the conditions that your university gives to students exactly what I need all this time. I'm pretty sure that if I will get to UNIST, I would have to work hard. And if I would have enough free time I want to continue my usual lifestyle: music and devote time to engage in sports and science. It would be very good if the University sent students on internships in various foreign countries to improve the knowledge and skills of students. So I think it's a great experience for all. As you know, my university and UNIST are not partners, so I would lose 1.5 years (3 semesters). While studying at my university, I took some courses, such a course of higher mathematics I, II. If possible, I hope and I wish that the administration of your university would take this fact under consideration. |
