VIII. The table below shows the most important uses of make. Study the table, translate these phrases and then complete with your suggestions.

For example: make up = to invent; to put cosmetics on; to reconcile; to meet a missed obligation at a later time. The girl made up a bad excuse for coming late, so she was excluded.

IX. PROJECT WORK/POSTER

Copy the table to make a poster for your classroom wall showing the uses of make. Add new expressions when you meet them.
