On 27 October 2013 in Moscow, the School of Higher Economics (HSE) hosted the First Moscow Conference on Behavioral Research. Over 40 faculty and student researchers from many schools participated. This included two Skype bridges for one hour with the New York City Conference at Saint Francis College, and researchers in HSE-Saint Petersburg.
Overall, 14 scientific presentations on diverse topics were made by 22 student researchers from five schools: HSE-Moscow, Peoples' Friendship University (PFUR), Moscow State University, State Academic University for the Humanities, and HSE-St. Petersburg. This proved to be a lively gathering, with many researchers meeting for the first time, and over half of the students were presenting their research at a conference for the first time. All presenters received a free one-year membership in the Association for Psychological Science (APS), and a Certificate of Recognition from Psi Chi.
The Conference Chair, Professor Irina Novikova, thanked the many people and 8 groups which cooperated to make this first conference possible: HSE (psy.hse.ru), PFUR (http://filfak.com), APS (www.psychologicalscience.org), Psi Chi (www.psichi.org), SPSSI (www.spssi.org/moscow), APA (div52.org), the Greater New York Conference (www.sfc.edu/page.cfm?p=4441), and HSE Spiritus. For the PolyCom equipment, special thanks to HSE, Dima Schminke and Dean Vasily Klyucharev. For any details, contact takoosh@aol.com
