Before Watching

“Earth 2100” is a television program that was presented by the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) network on June 2, 2009. It shows how "a worst-case" future might look like if humans do not take action on current or impending problems that could threaten civilization. The problems addressed in the program include current climate change, overpopulation, and misuse of energy resources.

1. The movie shows the worst case scenario of the Earth’s development up to the year 2100. This scenario is described with the help of an imagined person, Lucy. While watching draw a chronologic time line showing on one side events in Lucy’s life and on the other events on the Earth.
