Собственные местоимения

В английском языке одушевленными существительными являются слова, обозначающие людей (man, woman, boy, girl, gentleman, seaman, stewardess). Им соответствуют местоимения he и she. Неодушевленным существительным (животные, предметы) соответствует местоимение it.

Обратите внимание: слову ship (корабль) соответствует местоимение she.

It is a restaurant. The men, women and children are in the restaurant. Are they passengers? Yes, they are passengers. They are in the restaurant.
