1. CONTEST AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:

1.1. Development and support of children’s and youth choreographic art;

1.2. Revelation of the most talented and bright performers, children’s and youth creativity fulfillment;

1.3. Development and promotion of Jazz dance culture in the Republic of Belarus;

1.4. Sharing experiences among dancing groups, managers and choreographers;

1.5. Increase of managers’, dance groups’, choreographers’ and performers’ profession skills (holding of seminars, “round tables” and master classes).

CATEGORIES, AGE GROUPS, FESTIVAL PARTICIPANS

4.1 Musical directions: all jazz dance styles (jazz, modern- jazz, jazz-fank, jazz-rock, bluz-jazz, afro-jazz, pop- jazz, latino-jazz, contemporary-jazz).

4.2 Categories: solo/duet, dance group.

4.3 Age groups: children (age 8-15), adults (over 16)

4.4 Participants:

· Specialized schools’ students.

· Choreographic dance groups, soloists of institutions of additional education (dance schools, Art centers, Recreation centers, Social clubs, etc.)

· Fee-paying dance schools.

FESTIVAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS, FILING FOR A CONTEST

5.1 For festival participation contestants send applications of a given due form over email [e-mail] to Festival steering committee till February, 15, 2015. Make sure your application is received if you are not got back to in two days!

5.2 It is a one-round competition, during the competitive round the participant presents one contest performance.

5.3 There is a paid entrance for the viewers on a competition day, Gala concert and Awarding ceremony.

5.4 Substitution of contest performance can be done after preliminary coordination with Festival steering committee on terms that provisional rules of nomination are saved. Substitution of contest performance after February, 15, 2015 is not allowed.

5.5 During the contestants’ performance photographing and video filming will be made (during the performance and Gala concert). Photo and video material can be used promoters and published both on the Web site of the Festival and partners’ Web sites without participants’ consent or consent of those in the photos. Video records and photographs’ acquisition can be done in two weeks after Festival ends. To get the material you should address to Festival steering committee.

5.6 Group travel, board and lodging, background scenery and equipment delivery are carried out at participants’ expense. If you need board and lodging, state it in the application form. Technical Rider also can be forwarded to Festival steering committee. Rental cost of background scenery and equipment is stipulated directly with Festival steering committee.

5.7 The participants perform with their own settings, decorations, costumes and props.

5.8 The contestant can be disqualified and excluded from further participation for dirty improper conduct and bear-play towards Festival steering committee, jury and other contestants during the Festival.

5.9 Grand-prize, 1-prize, 2-prize, 3-prize winners take part in Gala-concert and present one contest performance. Gala-concert program notes are defined by festival management upon the judges’ decision that can’t be changed.

5.10 Steering committee reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of the festival, program notes and the number of contest performances.

5.11 The contest performance presented shouldn’t exceed 4 min. The contest performances that exceed time limits can be stopped by the judges of the contest.

5.12 The sequence of contest performances is defined by Festival steering committee.

5.13 During the contest, the participants can enter backstage not earlier than 2 performances before their own.
