Magic Bicycle

Hello, reader! My name is Masha. I am nine.

I want to tell you my unusual story.

One summer I went to see my Granny. She lived in a village. There was a nice forest behind her old house. Granny was very glad to see me. We drank tea and ate pancakes with strawberry jam. It was so tasty!

Then I went upstairs. There I saw a door leading to the attic. I opened it and found a lot of interesting things. But most of all I liked an old bicycle. It looked like an old-fashioned bike on the old photos. I decided to ride it. I took it outside, got on it and rode towards the forest. I was riding along a path when suddenly I found myself in a very strange place. I got frightened and got off the bike. In front of me there were unusual bushes. Behind the bushes I saw a small pretty town.

All the houses looked very nice. I came up to one of the houses. It was the house of a fairy. Her name was Charlotte. She was very beautiful. She had big blue eyes and straight blond hair. She was wearing a small blue dress. I asked her about the town. She told me that the town was called Smile and the people of that town liked doing sport very much.

At that moment the Sport Games were taking place in this town. The Fairy invited me to the stadium to watch a football match. I agreed.

If you know, football is played by two teams. In each team there are 11 players. They kick the ball with their feet, but they should not touch the ball with their hands. A player of one team must kick the ball into the enemy’s goal. The team which scores more goals wins.

We came to the stadium. It looked like a basket. In the middle there was a green lawn and around it there were benches for spectators.

…At the stadium I met an elf.His name was Larry. He was wearing short green trousers, a green jacket and a green cap on his head. He had short red hair and a lot of freckles on his face. He was very funny. Larry was the captain of his football team. His team played against the team of dwarfs. I wanted to join them. We did our best to win the match. But the dwarfs were very good football players too. The match ended in a draw. But nobody was upset. Everybody was happy, because friendship won!

After that we decided to go to the tennis court, because Charlotte liked to play tennis very much. She played tennis with her friend Lucy. The game was very exciting. Charlotte won! I congratulated her. Then we all had tea on the lawn and told each other funny stories. We had a very good time.

Suddenly, I understood that it was late and I had to go home. I said good-bye to my new friends. Charlotte gave me her tennis ball as a present, Larry – his green cap. They invited me to their town again. I got on a bike and went home. On the way home I was thinking of this unusual town and my new friends.

When I got home my Granny was already waiting for me. She saw the old bike and understood everything. She told me that when she had been a little girl she had also often visited this town. While we were having supper she asked me about my adventures and told me about hers.

I visited this town several times and had a lot of different adventures there. But I will tell you about them next time.
