Participants move between a series of tables where they continue the discussion in response to a set of questions, which are predetermined and focused on specific goals. For a more in-depth look at the World Café design principles, see the www.theworldcafe.com World Café is an innovative yet simple methodology for hosting conversations about questions that matter. These conversations link and build on each other as people move between groups, cross-pollinate ideas, and discover new insights into the questions or issues that are important in their life, work, or community. Spiritual Enquiry - ½ Day – with Gayatri (USA and Italy)

Most of our moods, reactions and responses arise automatically and unconsciously from our early conditioning and survival strategies. They are rarely questioned or even noticed, yet they can cause all sorts of dis-ease. The Inquiry workshop consists of examining our emotional states of being, looking deeply into our patterns of relating and whether or not they actually serve us, and creating a space of loving support in which they can effortlessly come to peace. We often think we are unique in how we feel, but by seeing that our discomforts are actually shared and experienced universally, we may find compassion for ourselves and others and begin to heal our wounded hearts.

Non-Violent Communication- ½ Daywith Rosie Waygood and Another

The language of Nonviolent Communication includes two parts: honestly expressing ourselves to others, and empathically hearing others. Both are expressed through four components - observations, feelings, needs, and requests – though observations and requests may or may not be articulated. Practicing NVC involves distinguishing these components from judgments, interpretations, and demands, and learning to embody the consciousness embedded in these components. This compassionate approach allows us to express ourselves and hear ourselves and others in ways more likely to foster understanding and connection. It allows us to support everyone involved in getting their needs met, and to nurture in all of us a joy in giving and in receiving. NVC was developed by

Dr. Marshall B. Rosenberg, who has introduced it to individuals and organizations world-wide. It has been used between warring tribes and in war-torn countries.
