Work of orthodox youth associations in modern conditions. Reality, problems and prospects.

Distinguished colleagues! Dear brothers and sisters!

Russian Union of Youth in the person of Chairman /Mogila T.Ya./ and the Monastery of New Martyrs of Russia represented by assistant for work with youth to father superior /monk Seraphim /Shanin// are planning to hold the International Youth Orthodox Congress, which will take place on 21^st April, 2012, Alapaevsk, SVE, RU.

The event will be devoted to work of orthodox youth departments, associations, and clubs and will be aimed at joining efforts, sharing experiences and skills upgrading. We invite people from around the metropolitan and also guests from other eparchies and metropolitans

Aims:

1. To rise level of interest in social allegiance, benefactions, activities of Russian Orthodox Church, participation in orthodox youth associations among young people

2. To create necessary conditions for Alapaevsk orthodox youth associations’ abilities implementation through experience exchange between other orthodox youth associations, departments, clubs and secular youth associations

Tasks:

1. Establishing of organizing committee of International Youth Orthodox Congress

2. Separating of duties between OC members, assigning a list of responsible persons

3. Engaging town authorities, social service representatives and specialist on work with youth to take part in Congress

4. Creating necessary conditions for event holding /availability of food and beverages, transfer, accommodation, leisure activities/

5. Orthodox media coverage of different orthodox and cleric youth associations branches of activity

Terms of participation: In order to participate via Skype, you need to inform organizers of Congress by choosing this type of participation in your registration form.
