Hobbies

Hobby is a favorite occupation of a person in his free time. Different people like different things. Different people have different hobbies, so tastes differ. Hobbies differ like tastes there more than 1000 personal interests and ways to spend ones. Hobbies are divided into four large classes: doing things, making things, collecting things, and learning things. Many people like collecting things (coins, postcards, stamps, books, pictures, cups, dolls, toys, watches, badges and so on). Some people are fond of traveling. They like to travel by ship, plane, car and learn many interesting things about different countries and their customs. Many of them are interested in photography. They like taking off old building: places, castles, churches and so on. Almost everyone collect something at some period in his life. Many famous collections started from one or two items. Such private collections are something given to museums, libraries, public galleries. Gardening is one of the oldest of men's hobbies; people like to grow flowers, different trees, vegetables. By the way, gardening is the most common hobby of Englishmen. They like to look after plants, especially roses.

Many families have their pets: dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, parrots and so on. Of course, they must look after them. They spend a lot of their free time to take care of them and to play with them. They buy nice food for their pets in pet shop.

Playing of musical instruments, watching TV, reading books is also a famous hobby. Both grown-ups and children are fond of playing different computer games. This hobby is becoming more popular. Hunting and fishing, handicrafts, repairing things, driving are men's hobbies.

Cooking, making cakes and pies, sewing and knitting, reading, music, books are women's hobbies. They spend a lot of their times sewing and knitting. So they always look very nicely.

Many people go in for sport. They want to be in a good shape, well - built and strong so they pay much affection to sport. They jogging, swimming, skating, skiing, trains them selves in clubs and different sections. Sport is not for weak, because, you have to learn how to lose and it is not easy. It is impossible to describe all this 1000 hobbies known in the world. But they have one aim: they increase your knowledge and board your outlook.
