The first research question was created in a way that enabled the data relating to it to be analyzed using the mediation analysis. In essence, a mediator variable is a sort of variable which describes how, and not when, the effects would occur by accounting for the relationship that exists between the dependent and independent variables of the research. It is the kind of analysis that makes an identification of third variable from the first and second variable. In the first research question, the independent variable (IV) is job craft and the dependent variable (DV) is work engagement. The mediator is organizational identification. Mediation is used here to determine whether job craft leads to organizational identification, which then leads to better job engagement by the employees in the organization.
The second research question was tested using the moderation method. Essentially speaking, the moderation analysis would be carried out the IV and DV are dependent on a third variable, which is the moderator variable. In relation to the second research question, the IV workload, the DV is turnover and the moderator is stress. These research hypotheses were analyzed and computed by utilizing the Pearson’s correlation coefficient in SPSS.
