Better utilization of resources

“Resource utilization” is becoming a very popular term in management theory. It means that you should achieve greater economy in the use of everything – metals, minerals, energy, water, manpower, finance, etc. The main management technique is better cost control. We have to answer the question: “How can we achieve the same value of output while reducing all our resource inputs?” The answer is: “ We must improve quality and standards required by consumers and industrial customers and make longer our product’s life. Secondly, we must include economy in the use of natural resources as they are scarce. It may be the best way to use scarce resources”.

The best solution for companies is to set up a resource utilization section. For small companies with 1000 employees two men will be enough.

The company’s management must be very responsible. Resource utilization must not be harmful for people and damage our environment.
