Hewlett-Packard (HP) is a consumer electronics corporation headquartered in Palo Alto, California, United States. Major product lines include personal computing devices, enterprise servers, related storage devices, as well as a diverse range of printers and other imaging products. HP is the world's largest technology company. HP posted US $91.7 billion in annual revenue in 2006, compared to US$91.4 billion for IBM, making HP the world's largest technology vendor in terms of sales. HP is the largest worldwide seller of personal computers, surpassing rival Dell, according to market research firms Gartner and IDC reported in January 2010. HP is also the 6th largest software company in the world.

Symantec is a global leader in providing security, storage and systems management solutions to help its customers – from consumers and small businesses to the largest global organizations – secure and manage their information against more risks at more points, more completely and efficiently. The company is headquartered in Mountain View, California. Its focus is to eliminate risks to information, technology and processes independent of the device, platform, interaction or location. Nintendo (任天堂株式会社) is a multinational corporation located in Kyoto, Japan. Founded on September 23, 1889 by Fusajiro Yamauchi, it produced handmade hanafuda cards. Later on, since 1975, Nintendo developed into a video game company, producing consoles and games. The release of Donkey Kong in 1981 gave Nintendo a huge boost. Another great succes came with the release of Super Mario Bros. With the release of various (handheld) consoles and games, Nintendo maintained an industry leading position. The most recent console, the Wii, opened gaming to a whole new audience, which made Nintendo one of the fastest growing software companies of the Software Top 100. In 2009, Nintendo was the largest video game company in the world.

Activision Blizzard develops and publishes video games. Activision Blizzard is the American holding company for Activision and Blizzard Entertainment, majority owned by French corporation Vivendi SA. The company is the result of a merger between Activision and Vivendi Games in 2008, a deal worth US$18.8 billion. Well known games the company publishes include Guitar Hero, Call of Duty and World of Warcraft. The merger made Activision Blizzard one of the fastest growing software companies of the Software Top 100. In 2009, Activision Blizzard was the second largest video game company in the world.
