Use the past simple to talk about finished actions in the past. -The past simple is the same for all persons. -Use the infinitive after Did…? and didn’t for negatives an questions: Did you go to the cinema yesterday? She didn’t do homework yesterday. - To make the past simple + of regular verbs add –ed: He cleaned his room yesterday. Remember the spelling rules. -Many common verbs are irregular in + past simple, for example go>went. |
