Which programs are appropriate for our city plan?

In order to achieve the goal in energy reduction, we should find an appropriate funding program.

In my opinion, the most appropriate program for our task could be CASH project. Energy efficiency in social housing is a multifaceted subject. There are naturally financial and technical aspects, but also legal, cultural and organizational aspects involved. One of the concrete goals of the CASH project is to produce a manual for European cities and towns about energy efficiency in social housing, and many aspects or themes will have to have a place in that. The partners in the network have different experiences and starting positions with the themes. In one city financial tools can be well developed, while in another city this can be still unexplored area. In the CASH project experiences will be exchanged so at the end of the project all cities will be on the same knowledge level and also the themes are further developed.[2]

The following program is suitable because it mainly touches upon the new idea of the energy reduction in public buildings.

First of all, the program offers to build new buildings which will get a status as energy efficient houses. The offer of such new houses will save the energy and it will influence on the environment. These houses are made to make the most free natural heating, cooling and lighting. Also, it is made from natural and safety materials which are not very expensive, high-quality and for long-term use.

Moreover, there is also presented the idea of creation passive and zero carbon houses, which are comfortable and ecological at the same time.

The CASH project has as its object to fulfill the obligation of climate policy. Due to the new housing technology the emissions will be reduced by 2020. Also, this project incarnates the EU Directive (2002/91/EC) on Energy Performance, the directive aims to invest as much as possible to energy sector, especially to the changed public buildings.

Besides, the new project will create new job opportunities for the local people.
