Ability

How do you know whether someone is capable of doing something? What are the key characteristics you should look for to know whether a person is the right one for the job? History abounds with stories of people who were underestimated. The ledger is balanced by tales of disasters caused by people who were overestimated. There are individuals who never did an honest day’s work before they went out and conquered the enemies of their nations. There are others who became billionaires after being rejected by the ones who knew them best. Ability is not that apparent unless you are willing to look for it.

To recognize ability, keep an open mind because it does not come in a specific package. But qualified people will have most of these characteristics:

They will know who you are.

They will have goals that make sense to you.

They will not consider money in their first comments.

They will ask questions in order to understand the tasks assigned.

They will not require direction after that.

They will complete their jobs properly on schedule.

They will create work.

They will be the same all the time.

They will not make trouble unless it is necessary.

They will be pleasant to all.

Ability means having the talent and energy to perform.
