Unless otherwise specifically noted in the Notes Part, the balance of the day on which the ticket is issued or travel is commenced must not be counted in respect of the validity.
Travel under each flight coupon must be scheduled to commence at the airport of departure before midnight, local time, of expiry date on such flight coupon.
If no part of the ticket is used, the first day to be counted is the day following the date of the ticket issue.
EXAMPLES (normal counting):
1. Travel under a ticket issued 01 Oct must be commenced not later than midnight of 01 Oct of the year following.,
2. If travel under flight coupon No. 1 commenced 01 pet, the last flight coupon of the ticket or conjunction ticket must be used for a flight scheduled to depart not later than midnight 01 Oct of the year following, provided a normal fare is involved.
3. For special fares with validity counted from day after departure, the simplest way to determine minimum stay and maximum validity is to add the number of days to the date of departure, e.g. 14/ 45 days Excursion fare,
commencement of travel 07 Jun
Minimum stay: 07 Jun
+ 14 days
= 21 Jun
Maximum validity: 07 Jun
+ 45 days
- 30 (deduct 30 for Jun)
= 22 Jul
The above example for minimum stay only applies when counting from date after departure. For other minimum stay requirements, see conditions of special fare rule.
