Executive Summary

“T.E.A.M”. Educational and art studios for teenagers” (TEAM) will start its operation in October 2015 in Posyolok Zhukovskogo neighbourhood in Kharkiv. This business plan is being written to set a rational framework for perspective growth to maximize profit potential and to allow the potential investor to get clear and realistic expectation about business development. Although, the background of the project is to give the teenagers of the neighborhood an access to cheap and innovative education and promote teenage art skills, project developers are concerned it is possible to pay money invested back in 6-7 years. Successful realization of this plan will also produce increasing profits annually by the end of the third year, which allows to develop TEAM not with the additional funding from NGOs and charity funds, but involving it`s own profits. TEAM is expected to become the example of educational initiative which gives young people a chance to be involved in modern technologies, as an initial part of highly-globalized world and self-realization in music, contemporary art, foreign languages, charity initiatives etc.

TEAM is an interactive incubator of teenage ideas, which are definitely to change the world.

Keys to success:

- It is the first project of such type in the country;

- Teenagers in Ukraine are extremely creative, they are just waiting for the “stage” to implement their creativity;

- Parents are ready to pay for additional and after-school classes, but in the majority of cases, teenage studios are totally outdated; TEAM is going to use only modern technologies and invite key specialists of each sphere of teenage interest to lead trainings, alive and online;

- Fees in TEAM are expected to be lower, as some experts, trainers and coaches (working for little wages or free) are being invited from such charity and development projects as Peace Corps and others.

- TEAM is operating Teenage Art Auction once in 4 months with 10 percent commission paid to TEAM both by seller and purchaser.

- TEAM is operating charity parties to fund it`s initiatives.

Objectives

The objectives over the next three years for TEAM are the following:

 

- Social issue: To involve as many creative teenagers as possible to wide-range list of studios proposed by TEAM as an important first step in their future professional career and as an act of integrating teenagers to the innovative economy of their native country.

- Educational issue: to give teenagers both the tools for self-development (knowledge \ technologies \ techniques \ practice) and the free stage to promote their art and sub-cultures or projects, due to lack of free or cheap presentation venues in their own city and country.

- Business issue: to arrange the opportunity for teenagers to make money, selling or leasing the pieces of their own art (both with looking for the potential investor) during the Teenage Art Auction and to organize an option to get up-to-date and actual knowledge or skill required for reasonable price in TEAM studios.

- Communicative issue: to develop teenagers` strengths (analyzing – declaring identity – strengthening positive traits of character – “shaping” the behavior according to “wow, it`s cool” criteria) to make them more popular in their peer groups and forming self-confidence as the basis for their future social and economical success.

Mission

The mission of TEAM is to provide high quality, convenient and comprehensive innovative education courses and provide room and space for promoting non-professional teenage art at the lowest cost. The most important aspect of the project is E F F I C I E N C Y. It is the goal of TEAM to attract highly-qualified and interactive (as well as teenage-friendly!) project coaches with the most bright and life-required experiences to exploit that reputation to create greater market share.
