Bee-Keeper’s Farm

In Sochi there is an experimental production farm – the pride of the city. This farm was established in 1963 because of various conditions in our region: a mild subtropical climate and the existence of a local native species of bee – the mengrel bee. The bee farm of Krasnaya Polyana is engaged in the breeding and selection of Caucasian mountain bees and has 50 apiaries in over 700 hectares with 10,000 bee families in the mountain zone from the subtropics up to the Great Caucasian Range.

The bee farm is one of the world’s largest and produces biologically active composite products, often used in medicinal products.

Highland Honey

This wonderful natural product can be found in the mountainous district of the Caucasus near to the Black Sea coast. Common plants here include lime trees, sweet chestnuts and other alpine vegetation. The honey is characterized by a high nutritional quality and contains about 300 substances which are indispensable to human life and health.

Royal Jelly

A biologically active product produced by bees and containing more than 120 useful substances and vitamins. Thanks to its unique nutritional and medicinal properties it regenerates and strengthens the human organism, with positive effects on the cardiovascular system and other functions.

Propolis

This is a complex substance produced by bees from resinous vegetable substances. It is characterized by strong bactericidal properties, sometimes even surpassing the effectiveness of antibiotics.

Apitonus

This is a biologically active product based on natural honey with added royal jelly. It contains over 400 biologically active substances and has obvious healing qualities.

Aptock

This is a natural product made from honey, royal jelly and an extract from propolis. It is recommended for preventing colds during the spring and autumn period, and also for balancing and strengthening the human immune system, especially amongst patients with long-term medical conditions.

Trout Farm

Just five minutes away from Sochi Airport is a unique, beautiful farm, which is engaged in the breeding and rearing of trout. Here you can not only look at, but also catch a trout, have a good rest, try the barbecue from “Royal Fish” and learn the secrets of their cooking.

Ostrich Farm

This farm is situated near the Krasnopolyanskaya road and the Trout Farm.

“Three Sofias” is situated near the entrance to Ahshtyr Canyon, is open all year round and is the biggest and the best equipped farm in Sochi. Don’t miss the chance to see the greatest bird in the world – a black African ostrich that has lived on this planet for 60 million years, keeping many of its interesting features since the time of the dinosaurs.

This year, the firm has expanded and now they have a golden pheasant. He has excellent coloration – especially colourful are his golden crest, orange hood and green and purple back. The best place on the farm is an arbour near the pond with various waterfowl.
