Острыми “псевдоэмоциями” развеиваем притаившуюся где-то в углу тоску, “перебиваем” накопившиеся за день стрессы. И в конечном итоге – засыпаем, бывает, гораздо спокойнее.

Во все времена в искусстве высоким жанром считалась именно трагедия. И это не случайно. Лишь трагедия позволяла и позволяет зрителю пережить катарсис – очищение при помощи страха и сострадания. Режиссер Альфред Хичкок называл кино “доброкачественным шоком”. Надо дать “зрителю шенкеля”, заставить его испугаться, заплакать.

– Интересно снимать такие шокирующие вещи, – говорит режиссер Андрей Кончаловский, – потому что боишься, что без этого “не сдвинешь” зрителя. У меня в “Первом учителе” тоже черт-те что творилось – и кишки были, и избиения. Мне очень нравится такая энергия.

Человеку необходимо хотя бы иногда почувствовать себя героем, это дарит массу эмоций – радость, счастье, гордость, уверенность в себе. Герой тот, кто свой собственный страх преодолел прежде, чем одолел врага. Даже если враг этот – вымышленный и сражаешься с ним не ты, а киноперсонаж.

Воспитание "чернухой"?

Многие режиссеры в последнее время забили тревогу – оттого, что производство фильмов ужасов, всевозможной "чернухи" поставили на поток.

– Знаете, как в кондитерской промышленности: если вас однажды подловили на том, что вы любите сладкое, все эти "марсы" и "сникерсы" начнут выпускать тоннами, да еще в такой хитрой упаковочке! Это же произошло и с производством "чернухи" – она тут же превратилась в бизнес, вокруг закрутились большие деньги. Режиссер, который талантливо снимает "чернуху", – просто преступник. Потому что нельзя просчитать тот урон, который наносит подобное сильно сделанное произведение, – считает режиссер Иван Дыховичный.

У психологов на этот счет иное мнение: если речь идет о взрослых – все не так страшно. Нормальный человек в состоянии различать реальную кровь и клюквенный сок, истинные страдания и великолепную игру актера. От того, что за неделю мы посмотрим два-три боевика или "ужастика", жестокими и равнодушными мы не станем.

Некоторым людям даже полезно научиться "правильно" смотреть такие фильмы, считают врачи психотерапевты. Психологи называют этот прием дистанцированием, умением посмотреть на ситуацию со стороны. От того, что ты понимаешь: все происходящее – лишь вымысел (с тобой самим все в порядке!), эмоции не притупляются, а вот травмирующее их действие нейтрализуется. Тогда и в любой стрессовой ситуации человек не будет переживать понапрасну. Во всяком случае, меньше риск получить инфаркт или язву желудка из-за неприятностей на работе или
семейной ссоры.

won 4 Academy Awards. Generally, A-movie directors have to prove themselves first with a more limited budget before achieving A-movie status.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008). This is an adaptation of C.S Lewis' book and the sequel to the film The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (1950). Fantasy or historical films are major staples of the A-movie industry, and many cinema-goers enjoy them, because they provide a bit of escapism for a few hours.

B-movies

B-movies are films made with a smaller budget than A-movies. Directors have to be more resourceful and innovative, which is why many are very well- directed. The genre has a cult following from people who like this quirkier method to directing. SomeI examples of B-movies are:

The Raven (1963). This is an adaptation of the famous horror story by Edgar Allen Poe. The film stars Vincent Price and Boris Karloff, two legends of classic horror movies. The film also features a youthful Jack Nicholson in one of his first roles. This is a good example of how a cheaply-made movie can attract superstars.

Blood Simple (1985). I was the first film directed by the Coen Brothers. They're now A-Listers because of the ingenuity they showed as low-budget movie-makers. Blood Simple was a difficult movie to classify, and was defined by one critic as such, "Too gory to be an art film, too arty to be an exploitation film, funny but not quite a comedy."

C-movies

C-movies are basically B-movies, but with an even smaller budget. They generally air on cable TV to fill gaps in the schedule. They are never released in the cinema. One example is The Psychotronic Man (]98Q).The movie was filmed almost entirely illegally. The filmmakers couldn't get permits in Chicago, where it was filmed. Later, the name Psychotronic became a term to describe underappreciated cult films.

There is also a television programme that poked fun at low-budget films. From 1988-1999, the cult classic show Mystery Science Theater 3000 was a huge success on the comedy channel in the United States. In the show, a man is trapped in space with robots, and is forced to watch low budget sci-fi films. The man and the robots make hilarious comments about the films.

Z-movies

Z-movies are the lowest section of the film industry. They are cheap and tacky with off-the-wall plotlines. Art house Cinema isn't included in this classification, Director Edward Wood is famous as being a Z-Movie maestro, and was voted the Worst Director of all Time. Some examples of Z-movies are:

Plan 9 from Outer Space (1959). This film

instructor. Feffer returns home and tries to get on with his life. Things don't seem to go too well. But one day, he meets a former classmate, Polly Prince (Jennifer Aniston) and falls in love. Will they get together?

Another Jennifer Aniston film was The Break-Up (2006). Brooke (Aniston) works in an art gallery and lives with tour guide Gary (VinceVaughn). After a series of disagreements, they decide to separate, but continue living together as flatmates. Will it work out?

In Marley and Me (2008), Aniston co-stars with Owen Wilson. John and Jenny Grogan (Aniston) relocate to southern Florida soon after their wedding. They work as reporters for competing newspapers, but whereas Jenny gets front-page assignments, John finds himself writing two-paragraph articles about mundane news. Sometime after moving, Jenny is thinking about starting a family, so a friend suggests the couple adopt a dog to see if they're ready. And this is when Marley (named after reggae singer Bob Marley) comes into their lives. He's an adorable but naughty Labrador retriever. Will they be able to control him?

Aniston is dearly in demand. But the fact is there's a bit of Rachel Green in all the characters she plays. This may have something to do with the fact that most of her films are romantic j comedies, or... could it just be that these six actors will be forever known as Chandler, Ross, Phoebe, Joey, Monica and Rachel?
