1. числительное - один, одна, одно

I know only one solution of this problem. Я знаю только одно решение этой проблемы.

2. слово-заместитель

The old houses should be replaced by new оnеs. Старые дома следует заменить новыми (домами).

3. неопределенно-личное местоимение (в функции подлежащего), не переводится.

One mustn't use this substance in a solid state. Нельзя использовать это вещество в твердом состоянии.

Wendy is a model. - Which one is Wendy? - She is the one with the long fair hair. - You mean that tall girl wearing jeans and a dark T-shirt. Well, she’s very beautiful. - That’s right. And the one next to her is Jane. - The one with the long dark hair? - No, she has short hair. Mary has long dark hair. - Oh, I see. She’s really beautiful. - Look at those people on the sofa. I think I know one of them.

- Which one? - The one with glasses.   b) - Could you show me that ring? - This one? - No, that one. - Here you are.   c) - Can you show me some cameras, please? - Certainly, sir. This one is very good. - Yes, it is. How much is it? - £85, sir. - Oh, dear. That’s very expensive. - Hmm, I see. That one isn’t expensive, sir. - Hmm. Can you show it to me, please. - What make is it? - It’s a Kodak, it’s £47.
