Field of study of political science is the sphere of political life. The term "political science" is formed from two Greek words: “ politica ” - government, public affairs and “ logos ” - knowledge teachings. Political Science as the study of politics is an independent social discipline that reveals the meaning and content of the policy, studying the whole area of ​​political relations, structure and functioning of government. The nature of any science is defined by its object is the area of ​​activity of the subject and the subject of cognitive activity. In a broad sense, the subject of Political Science is the whole world of politics as a special sphere of human activity. In the narrow sense PS is finding formation and development of political power, the forms and methods of its operation in the state and society.

Consequently, the set of problems that are the subject of political science can be divided into three groups:

• The first is focused on disclosure of the essence of politics as a social phenomenon

• The second is devoted to the study of the essence of political systems and political culture, the differences and similarities between them

• The third involves sided study of political institutions, political processes and political behavior, etc. All these components of political science are mainly interested in their present state.

Therefore, political science finds its structure, component parts, functions, relationship and interaction between them.

Political functions: ideological, methodological, epistemological, regulatory and predictive. Political science is acting in two capacities: as a science and as an academic discipline.

The policy performs a variety of important goals, including:

· ensuring the integrity and stability of a social community (policy determines future projects, which is the implementation of all relevant social needs in the community and claims);

· mobilization and efficiency of public activity;

· management and regulation of certain social community;

· rationalization strategy and tactics of the (presenting individual and group interests, policy streamlines the conflicts and contradictions, alerts and civilized settles them);

· experiences and skills in socially useful activities
