Doppler Navigator mode

At the control display unit 6 the toggle switch СЧЕТЧИК must be set in the position ВЫКЛ. At the DN simulator 4 set the ground speed W = 250 km/h, the drift angle a at the DN simulator 3 set equaled to zero.

At the indicator ДВС 12 set the true airspeed V = 500 km/h with the help of checkout equipment КПУ-3. With any heading at the map angle selector ЗУК 11 set the map angle f equaled to the heading g that is shown at the simulator 2. In such a way the direction of dead reckoning in Y axis is selected.

The pointers of counter 10 must be set at zero. Then turn on the counter and stopwatch simultaneously. After 15 min turn off the counter and write down its readings. The pointer «С» (axis У) at the counter НИ 10 must move at the scale clockwise at the value 87,5 km/h. The pointer of counter «В» (axis Х) must show zero.

The absolute error in Y axis with g=f is determined by the formula

Do the same experiments by in X-axis. For this, it is necessary at the map angle selector ЗУК 11 set the angle f in 90 deg less than heading g and repeat the previous steps.

After 20 minutes of АНУ-1 operation turn off the counter НИ-50 сч. The pointer of counter «С» must show zero, and the pointer”B” - 87,5 km.

The absolute error in Y-axis with f=g-90 can be found as:

In axis Х:

DS_ВХ2 = S_ВХ2 – 87,5 [km]

The relative error of АНУ-1 with the environment temperature +20 must not exceed 1,75%.

Mode “MEMORY”

At the control display unit 6 the toggle switch ДИСС-ПАМЯТЬ must be set in the position ПАМЯТЬ. At the DN simulator 4 set the ground speed W = 1000 km, at the DN simulator 3 the drift angle a = 9 deg.

At the indicator ДВС 12 with the help of checkout equipment КПУ-3 set the true airspeed V = 700 km/h. With any heading at the simulator КС 2 set the map angle f=g at the map angle selector ЗУК 11.

The pointers of counter НИ-50сч must be set in zero position with the help of handles 8. Turn on the counter and stopwatch simultaneously.

After 20 minutes of АНУ-1 operation turn off the counter. The pointer of counter “C” must show 329,2 km, the pointer “B” - 52,1 km.

The absolute errors are determined by formulas:

DS_c = S_c – 329,2 [km]

DS_В = S_В – 52,1 [km]
