With the passing of Doppler navigator to the “MEMORY OF WIND” mode the voltage is supplied to the relay winding Р1. The relay Р1 is activated and the АНУ-1 goes into operation mode “MEMORY OF WIND”. At the same time the relay contacts shunt the inputs МУ-Х and МУ-У P1 of magnetic amplifiers, and signals Wx and Wy from the track angle unit (УОПУ) are switched off from the circuit of dead reckoning. The brushes of potentiometer in the "memory of wind" unit УПВ remain its position that corresponds to the last calculated values of wind velocity components Ux and Uy.
The voltage, proportional to the true airspeed components vx and vy in the heading unit, is added to the corresponding "memorized" voltages proportional to the wind speed Ux and Uy as the algebraic sum of voltages and Vx + Ux и Vy + Uy. (They will be proportional to the components of the aircraft ground speed) Then they come to the to the normally closed relay contacts P2 and further to the НД-1 and НД-2 of Ни-50сч. At the scale of counter the reckoning of current location Хс and Ус in the rectangular coordinates is realized.
Autonomous dead reckoning mode
The turning on of autonomous mode is done by setting the mode switch В1 in the position «АВТОНОМНЫЙ» (autonomous). The signal +27V comes to the relay P2. Contacts P2 1, P2-2, P2-3, P2-4 are switched and the voltages proportional to the components of the aircraft ground speed come to НД-1, НД-2 of Ни-50сч. They are formed as algebraic sums of voltages Yx and Yy from the heading unit УОК - Ux and Uy from the wind selector ЗВ-1, that is Vx + Ux and Vy + Uy
The addition is done directly at the terminals of the corresponding integrating electromotors of counter which makes the operation of integration for the components of the ground speed Wx and Wy in time.
ProcedureS
The equipment for the study of АНУ-1 includes:
- Control panel (Fig. 2);
- checkout equipment КПУ-3 (Fig. 3).

The setting of airspeed in a laboratory equipment is done by using checkout equipment КПУ-3 with further testing of airspeed value by airspeed indicator ДВС 12 (Fig. 2). The setting of the ground speed W is done by the simulator “ПУТЕВАЯ СКОРОСТЬ” 4 (ground speed), input of the heading g is done by the simulator КУРС 2 (heading), input of the drift angle a is done by the simulator ДИСС ПУТЕВОЙ УГОЛ 3 (track angle of DN), setting of the map angle f is done by selector of map angle (ЗК) 11 and wind selector 9.
At the wind selector (Fig. 4) the map angle f is entered using the scale (the limb) 6 relative to the stationary pointer 5.
The wind direction d is entered by the wind selector (Fig. 4) with the help of handle 2, which has index 3 relative to the scale 6.
The entering of wind speed U is done by the rotation of the handle 8 (with index 1) (Fig. 4) relative to the scale 7.
Change in the environment temperature Тн is simulated by the variable resistor ИМИТАТОР П-1 (5) (Fig. 3).
The turning the power on and testing of this state is done by the appropriate switches and alarm lights located on the front panel.
