Prerequisites: mathematics, history, philosophy, required English courses.
Post requisites: economic policy, law, ecology, institutional economy, economy of enterprise
Course function
The purpose of this course is to introduce the students in the most important issues of Macroeconomics. The course topics focus on economic growth, income inequality, unemployment, inflation, stabilization policy, government debt and deficits, international trade, exchange rates, and financial crises. We will look for answers to questions such as how to achieve economic growth, what causes unemployment and inflation, why are there short-run fluctuations in the economy. We will build models and will show how the behavior of individual economic agents altogether shapes the aggregate economic activity.
