Chevron Corporation is vertically integrated multinational energy company that predominantly explorers and produces natural gas and dead oil. The company`s head office is located in California, San Ramon, but the company itself is active in more than 170 countries worldwide. The early history of the company starts with its predecessor “Star Oil”, which have discovered oil formations in Northern part of Los-Angeles. Later, in September of 1879, company owners established other oil company called “Pacific Coast Oil Company”. The new company took remarkable stands and became successful in California. In 1906, “California Standard”, the other huge company at that time, acquired the “Pacific Coast Oil Company” and later in 1984 renamed “Pacific Coast Oil Company” into “Chevron Corporation”. At the end of 20th Century, Chevron Corporation was ranked as the 75th United States` most influential and valuable companies during the World War II.

Importantly, Chevron`s core ideas and believes is valued in integrity and diversity of people who is working for this company. Consequently, the company is known to be an employee of approximately 30,000 people in the United States and 61,000 people around the globe. Moreover, the companies’ major production operations takes place in different countries such as Australia, Angola, Nigeria, Kazakhstan, USA, etc.

Currently, Chevron Corporation is considered as one of the huge oil companies such as British Petroleum, Schlumberger, Exxon, and Shell. In 2013, Chevron Corporation took 3rd place in the Fortune Global list of world`s largest companies. In the New-York Stock Exchange market (NYSE) and in the European Stock market Chevron`s symbol is “CVX” and “CHTEX” accordingly.
