ZOOMING TO THE YOUTH TRAINING COURSE

Zooming to the youth training course gathers together youth workers from Ukraine, Greece, Finland and Belarus. The aim of the training is to teach media education methods for youth workers. Topics of the training are media criticism, media literacy, media production with existing instruments and use of open source software. Training course aims to encourage youth workers to use the media as a part of youth work and give them basic skills in theory and in practice. At the local level, our goal is that media education gets a permanent foothold in grassroots work with young people in each participating country. Project is funded by the Erasmus+ programme.

Metsäkartano youth centre is part of a network of 10 national youth centres of Finland, supervised and subsidized by the Finnish Ministry of Education. Metsäkartano´s function is to develop the methods used in the field of youth work, to act as centre for furthering the skills of the youth, and enable young people’s travelling domestically and internationally. Metsäkartano focuses to environmental education and international youth work. Therefore, we look forward again to this opportunity to gather together youth workers and multipliers from several countries.
