Job description   The DFSMS Team is seeking candidates recently graduated from universities to enjoy working within a team to develop solutions for complex technical problems, provide product enhancements and support to our customers. Candidate should be able demonstrate skills, enthusiasm, work well in a team environment, and be self-starters. Candidate will perform functions test activities related to the zOS Data Facility Storage Management Subsystems(DFSMS) product family. Test activities include understand requirements, design use case based test scenarios, test planning, develop and test new methodology, automation tools, techniques, test execution, test results analysis for function verification, and problem tracking. Will work closely with the Development, SVT and other teams to ensure smooth transition throughout the product cycle. Skills and Abilities The following skills are necessary for this job. Each skill has been assigned a requested proficiency level by the hiring manager. Job description   With the introduction of the IBM zEnterprise™ System (zEnterprise) in 2010, a heterogeneous compute system was launched which is able to host many different workloads while being managed as one single entity. This allows to dramatically improve productivity of today’s multiarchitecture data centers and tomorrow’s private clouds. One of the core components of those servers is its ability to manage several kinds of pluggable hardware that allow hardware pieces to be added/removed either concurrently during Runtime or disruptively in a maintenance window. For the next server generation, the Firmware team is seeking candidates who enjoys working within an international team to develop solutions for hardware management, provide product enhancements, and support our customers. The candidates should be able to demonstrate skills, enthusiasm, work well in a team environment, and be self-starters. The core of this job assignment is to design and develop system hardware management and control software.
