Part 2 (2 hours)

Introduction

You know now what are ecosystems and biomes.

Task

You will conduct research on one particular biome and gather the necessary material to inform people who may want to visit or move there. Once you have all the necessary information, you will then produce a product that showcases that biome in a visual and informational way. Some possible choices are a brochure, SlideShow. Be creative with your product. Your product absolutely must include the following information:

1. Location of your biome (where it is found on Earth).

2. Information about the climate of biome.

3. Factual information about plants that are found there with 1-3 pictures.

4. Factual information about animals found there (include their adaptations) with 1-3 pictures.

5. 7-10 general interesting facts about your biome.

6. Glossary of terms (with definitions) about your biome (5-10 is appropriate).

7. What negative and positive factors influence the biome and ecosystems you live in.

Phase2. Design of the Power Point presentation or a brochure

Don’t forget to make a Title of your project, organize information into sections by topic, making sure to label (plants, animals, climate, etc.).

Conclusion

At this point, you should be quite familiar with the biomes found on Earth. Please don’t forget that biomes need to be protected, so that animals and plants can stay living there. We can all make a difference in protecting these large ecosystems of the world. As concerned citizens, think of ways that you can do your part in protecting biomes so that future generations will be able to enjoy them. Remember, we all live on planet Earth.
