1. Isomorphism and allomorphism in the correlation of the means of grammatical expressing the syntactic relations in English and Russian.

2. Quantitative and qualitative correlation of the means and ways of syntactic connection in present-day English vs. present-day Russian syntactic units.

3. Common and divergent features of predicative word-groups in English and Russian.

4. Isomorphic and allomorphic features in the structural forms of English and Russian one- and two-member sentences.

5. Isomorphism and allomorphism in the nature and structural forms of simple, formal (if any) expanded / extended and complex parts of the sentence in the contrasted languages.

6. Typological characteristics of the detached, parenthetic and inserted parts of the sentence and elements in the contrasted languages.

7. Isomorphism and allomorphism in the structural forms and means of expressing the principal parts of the sentence in English and Russian.

8. Typological characteristics of the secondary parts of the sentence. Isomorphism and allomorphism in the structural forms of the object and the attribute in the contrasted languages.

9. Typology of the composite sentence in the contrasted languages. The compound sentence in English and Russian.

10. Typology of the complex sentence. Isomorphic and allomorphic features in the structure of nominal / N-clauses of the contrasted languages.

11. Quasi-sentences and intermediaries between simple and composite sentences in English and Russian.

12. Typological characteristics of the supersyntactic level units in English and Russian.

 

Grading scheme:

Pass / Not pass Percentage Range Meaning Description
CREDIT 90-100 Exceptional - thorough knowledge of concepts and techniques - exceptional skill and originality in satisfying requirements
80-89 Excellent - thorough knowledge of concepts and/or techniques - high degree of skill and some originality in satisfying requirements
75-79 Very good - good knowledge of concepts and techniques - fairly high degree of skill in satisfying requirements
70-74 Good - good knowledge of concepts and techniques - considerable skill in satisfying requirements
69-60 Competent - acceptable knowledge of concepts and techniques - considerable skill in satisfying requirements
59-50 Passing - minimal knowledge of concepts and techniques - some ability to satisfy requirements
  49 - 0 Failing
