PRACTICE

I Read the jumbled parts of the letter which a teacher posts to his/her students and reconstruct it. Match numbers with letters. How do we call these numbered parts of the letter?

C Dear Students,
D 177 Razorback Lane

E Mrs. Harrison

F Fondly,
G October 1, 2008 2008

H Again, after you have written your first draft, go back and revise it for content. Edit and make changes, as needed. Then, proofread your letter for any spelling, grammatical, and mechanics mistakes. Finally, write your final draft. Good luck and don't procrastinate!

II wanted to post an example of a friendly letter online for you. It is very important for you to remember the format of a friendly letter. You also need to remember the differences between the friendly letter format and the business letter format.
