Future Story

There are many ways to express the future in English.

o The first one is Present Continuous. We use it when we talk about our exact plans (точные планы)

# I’m getting married on the 23rd of July.

o The second way is Going To. We use it:

1) when we talk about our intentions (things we have decided to do)

# I’m going to get married before I’m 30.

when the situation now is showing us what is going to happen in the future.

# The man can’t see the wall in front of him! He’s going to hurt himself!

o The third way is Future Simple:

1) When we decide to do something at the moment of speaking. # I’m hungry. I’ll have a snack.

2) When we promise smth. # I’ll certainly do it.

3) When we ask somebody to do smth. # Will you close the door?

4) When we offer help. # I’ll do it for you.

5) With these expressions: probably, maybe, I’m sure/I’m not sure, I expect, I think/I don’t think, I hope # I’m sure he’ll come soon.

o The fourth way is Future Continuous. We use it when we talk about an action which will be happening at a certain time or during a certain period of time in the future.

# I will be studying English tomorrow at this time.

o The fifth way is Present Simple. We use it when we talk about timetables and schedules.

# The lesson begins at 8 tomorrow.

o The sixth way is Future Perfect We use it when we talk about an action which will have happened by a certain time in the future.

# I will have come back home by 3 o’clock tomorrow.

Welcome to the program that looks at the world we live in. Today we want to find out something about Japanese schools. We all know that education is important in every country, but they say that in Japan it’s even more important. There are lots of reasons. One of them is attitude to jobs. In our country, you can try lots of things until you find the right job. In Japan it’s different. Children must do well at school to get a good job. The atmosphere in junior school is different from primary school. It’s less relaxed and more competitive. The discipline is quite strict. The teacher talks and the children listen and take notes. It’s considered rude to question a teacher. Japanese children like school because they have no time to be bored. I believe our schools could borrow something from Japanese ones.
