Any enclosed space may be dangerous. Lack of air, toxic fumes or gases can kill you. We must ventilate enclosed space before go into it. After ventilation and check of the air for toxic fumes or gases, person may enter. We can use special instruments only for air-check. But you must get permission from the Master or responsible officer before go into it.

Also you have to get your instructions from responsible officer before start to work inside. It is very dangerous to enter enclosed spaces alone. Use protective clothing, safety shoes and helmet. Remember a signal line. You can use a signal line for communication with a person at the entrance. Breathing apparatus can save your life when you go into tanks or cargo holds. Small damage of the breathing apparatus may cause your death. You must make thorough check of your breathing apparatus before use it. Check an air in the bottles. Only after a good check you can use it. To illuminate enclosed space you can use special lights only. Use safety belt, which can prevent you from falling into lower spaces.
