8. Profile. Read the profile of John Benton and then write another profile about yourself.

My name is John Benton and I’m British. I live in a lovely village near London, and I work for the Simson group, Britain’s largest private company. The group’s activities are divided into four business areas: aviation, property, shipping, industries. Our best-known company is Technique industries.

I work at the London head office, I’m the head of Corporate Finance and I’m responsible for developing the business of the Group.

My office hours begin at 8.30. In the morning I usually look through newspapers and journals as I am interested in the latest political and business events. Also I look through the post and give answers on the letters. We do business with many foreign companies, so during the day I meet British and foreign businessmen and discuss with them business matters. Sometimes I go to different cities to discuss business with our customers.

I’m always very busy and I don’t have much free time, but when I do, I like fishing and I grow flowers, just for fun.
