1st round preliminary: When 20 or more contestants are participating;

Contestants shall perform the two assigned compulsory Poomsae, and, half of them from each group shall advance to semi-final based on their points. In preliminary round, each group might be judged by different group of judges. If the number of contestants is odd, then round the number of contestants to make even, e.g. If there are 13 contestants in group, then 13 contestants as considered as 14 contestants, and 7 contestants shall advance to semi-final.

 

2nd round semi-final: When 9 to 19 contestants are participating;

Competition shall start from semi-final round, Contestants shall perform the two assigned compulsory Poomsae, and, 8 of them shall be advanced to final based on their points.

 

3rd round final: When 8 or fewer contestants are participating;

Competition shall start from final round. Two Poomsae in accordance with drawing.

 

NOTE: The organiser reserves the right to reduce the number of Poomsae to be performed in the preliminary and the semi-final round to one (1) form.

 

 

Procedure in case of equal score:

 

In case there is a tied score after the completion of the final round on the rank 1, 2, or 3, the contestant who is awarded more points in presentation shall be declared the winner. In case the score is still tied, then the one who has higher total points (including highest and lowest points) shall be the winner. If it’s still tied then a rematch between the contestants in question shall be conducted. The referee will decide on the Poomsae to be performed (in any case one of the compulsory Poomsae).

 

Free Style Poomsae Competition A-Class Categories

The Free Style competition will be started for only Dan/Poom degrees in all age categories.

Below an overview of the rules which should be followed:

Category 12-17 yr 18 yr or higher 12 yr & higher
Individual Male      
  Female      
Pair        
Mixed team        

Pair: 1 male + 1 female

Team (5 members): more then 2 male + 2 female
