An Investigation of regular infringement of conscientious business' International rules began as first compliance procedure in Russia to prevent any form of corruption

Dear Sirs / Madams,

An unprecedented trial is going on in Russia - the trial about regular infringement of the internationally-accepted business' rules by International Media Holding RBC JSC (RosBusinessConsulting), established in Moscow, Russia.

Here are the infringements:

- infringements in accounting and fiscal reports, non-compliance of authorial rights - freelance and free-of-charge usage of media production: reports, interviews etc.;

- infraction of code of practice in corporate ethics: RBC employers pay ‘black’ salaries to freelancers, much less than promised at hiring;

- there is no any verification tool of work with data sources, indeed RBC misinforms viewers and broadcasts some profanity and false media-content: fixed ratings and quotations, editorializing and ‘plugola’ from unchecked agencies and agents with a bad name.

The first civil lawsuit is going on in the Gagarinsky District Court of Moscow, where RBC is being sued by TV reporter Alexey Melnikov, who declared an infringement of his author's rights and seeks compensation. In December 2012, Melnikov did some work for RBC-TV in the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi: interviews with Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili, MP Givi Targamadze and others, a report about the Georgian state guardianship of orphans and some other reports. RBC-TV broadcast those audiovisual pieces, freelance and free-of-charge despite all promises to contract and pay for Melnikov’s work. The defrauded reporter (father to a 3-year-old) lost a stable job voluntarily especially for the trip to Georgia by order of RBC. He subsequently fell ill and divorced his wife. But RBC's lawyers absurdly dispute the broadcasting of the audiovisual pieces of Alexey Melnikov (in spite of notarized video-copies) and his authorial rights to his work (in spite of his stand up, voice and all source shootings he possesses). RBC's management deleted most of those pieces after broadcast, but some of them remained on the internet:

The suit is to continue because other defrauded viewers and journalists are lodging new complaints including against RBC, in particular over unfair advertising. Dozens of civilians in Russia declared cases of fraud effecting severe losses (total damage is over $500 000) from activity by several broker's agencies (www.teletrade.ru for instance) - these are partners of many media - rbctv.ru, tvrain.ru and others broadcasting legally. The statement of the affected investors from the activities of Teletrade company was brought to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation in November 2013, but broadcasting of that content is continue up now causing new events of fraud.

Taking into account a lot of business, finance and fiscal activities of RBC JSC in the USA, we ask the US Department of Justice and all of the transnational media to draw attention to the possible damage and to take into account the inevitable losses as a consequence of the compliance control procedure because of unfair business influence of RBC.

That's why we offer the Department of Justice of the USA to suggest to the management of RBC to put the company’s whole business into a legal framework according to international conventions, the code of business reputation and proper internal audit to prevent any form of corruption.
