Had + been + III Ф.гл.

1. until – если надо подчеркнуть что действие свершилось: He stood on the shore (берег), until the ship had disappeared.

2. Два действия, одно совершилось раньше другого

3. hardly(едва), when, scarcely(едва), no sooner(не ранее), as son as (как только)

Hardy we had gone to bed when some ody knoked at the door.

4. Действие начавшееся до другого действия и всё ещё совещающееся:

He had been ill for several days when I called him.

As I had known him for nearly ten years I was able to recommend him to them as a very experienced teacher.

5. Одно действие совершилось до начала другого:

The manager returned before the tippets had tipped all the letters.

Had + been + ing

2 действия. Одно действие наполовину закончено, но продолжалось и долее до какого-то момента:

When you came I had been studying in the university

for (during) 4 years.

Когда ты приехал, то я уже проучилась в университете 4 года.

Shall (I,we) Will + have + III ф.гл.

Shall (I, we) Will + have + been + IIIф.гл.

Два действия:

The train will have left when we get to the station.

He said, when I arrived, he would have been studying for 3 years.
