Bavaria

Bavaria is a region located in the southeast of Germany and is the largest state (Bundesland) of Germany by area. Its capital is Munich in Upper Bavaria.

In the Alps, along the country’s southern border, the slopes of its highest peak, Zugspitze (2,962m), provide the steepest downhill run.
